Bio
I live in a ridiculously small town in Eastern Washington in which I was born and raised. I am married and have two children. Their names are Ethan, born 6/9/98 and Chloe¨, born 2/18/01. In spite of growing up in a small conservative area, I have remained liberal, open-minded and relatively sane. I believe strongly in the rights of adults to have sex with, love, and marry any other consenting adult they choose. I believe that people should be judged solely on who they are, not skin color, religion, or country of origin. I think children should be treated with love and respect, as should everyone. I make mistakes, but that is my goal.

When I'm not spending too much time online I like to read (not enough, but lots), watch t.v.(too much), listen to music (almost all kinds, will try anything once) and even occasionally have sex. I love to bake, but I'm not crazy about cooking, though I do it. I have very simple tastes. I love Hershey's milk chocolate, for instance, and ice cream, and the smell of rain. I could not live in a world without books, children, chocolate, oceans, and probably my husband. I am an emoter and an observer more than I am a thinker and a doer, though I like to think of myself as intelligent.

If I won the lottery and had no responsibilities, I'd become an Indigo Girls groupie.

I went to college way too long ago and have an English degree I never use but I will always be grateful for the experience and the education. I believe in education for education's sake. I have a very part-time job at a preschool, working with 3 and 4 year olds. They're amazing.

In 2003 I experienced a significant loss. My older sister, long ill with Chron's Disease, took her own life Sept. 27, 2003. Then my mom, also one of my best friends, died suddenly from a ruptured aneurysm on Oct.3, 2003. Yep, totally unrelated and unxepected deaths, six days apart. So I miss them, and I talk about them a lot. I also babble on about my children at great lengths. If such things don't interest you, that's okay, but you'll probably find me boring.

I've been on lj for a few years now and I've had mostly good experiences. I might not always comment on my friends' journals, but if you are on my friends list I AM reading every entry you post.
